SURFACE CODE

Nocturne Current

*Nocturne Current* is an original airbrush project for a pickup, shaped by a sense of nocturnal movement, depth, and restrained energy. Cool, composed, and atmospheric, it does not function as a narrative illustration, but as a unified presence that changes the way the vehicle is perceived.

About the project

*Nocturne Current* is a project about an inner current: calm on the surface, yet charged with movement, tension, and depth. Its atmosphere draws on nocturnal space, cold air, the stillness after rain, and elusive light moving across a dark surface. The work is built around non-literal visual flow and a sense of continuous motion that unites the architecture of the vehicle into one artistic form. Rather than illustrating a specific story or relying on direct symbolism, its expression emerges through rhythm, pauses, and the contrast between a deep black ground and subtly revealed currents of light. The airbrush artwork extends across both sides of the pickup, the tailgate, hood, and roof. Each surface is treated as part of one continuous composition: the movement does not stop at individual panels, but travels across the full volume of the body, maintaining visual integrity from every angle. *Nocturne Current* is created for those drawn to restrained individuality — not decorative for the sake of effect, but quiet, focused, and made to reward a closer look.

SURFACE CODE

A collection of automotive texture concepts in which the artwork functions not as a separate image, but as the character of the surface itself. Each concept is built around its own material language: layered stone and technical linework, charred wood with an inner glow, gilded crocodile-skin texture, a directional feather rhythm, topographic layers, and relief-like structures. The central idea of the series is to turn the vehicle body into a carrier of complex, tactilely legible surfaces. The designs can be realized in two ways. **The painted version** creates volume through airbrushing, light, shadow, and tonal transitions. **The relief version** involves physical work with the surface: the texture becomes tangible, and the design changes with the angle of light and the movement of the vehicle.
