CAST-OFF ARMOR

LINE-X Relief Edition

About the project

## CAST-OFF ARMOR An original airbrush project built around the contrast between a dark scaled surface and fine glossy fracture lines. Graphite-black texture extends across the side panels, hood, and tonneau cover, turning the vehicle body into a single sculptural system — an outer shell that cracks, shifts, and reveals the tension beneath it. The project can be realised in three levels of complexity. --- ### 01 — Painted Surface Edition Classical realistic airbrush work without physical relief. The scales, material depth, tonal transitions, shadows, and fracture lines are created entirely by hand through airbrush painting. This edition can be executed either on a prepared gloss-painted surface or over LINE-X. On a gloss-painted body, the work takes on a more refined, detailed, and painterly quality. On LINE-X, the surface becomes more restrained, matte, and tactile while preserving the fully painted nature of the artwork. **Base scope:** both sides, hood, and tonneau cover. **Estimated starting price:** from **800,000 RUB** on a prepared gloss-painted surface or over LINE-X. --- ### 02 — Gloss Fracture Edition A LINE-X-only execution with smooth, high-gloss fracture lines preserved within the composition. The paths of the cracks and lightning-like lines are masked before the coating is applied, allowing them to remain part of the smooth gloss body surface. The surrounding areas are coated with LINE-X, after which the full composition is developed through airbrush work: scales, relief illusion, dark tonal depth, bronze-graphite transitions, and controlled highlights. The contrast between the smooth, almost cutting glossy fractures and the dense textured outer shell becomes the project’s defining material effect. **Base scope:** both sides, hood, and tonneau cover. **Estimated starting price:** from **1,100,000 RUB.** --- ### 03 — LINE-X Relief Edition The flagship relief edition of the project, executed exclusively with LINE-X. The fracture lines remain smooth and glossy. Around them, selected sections of the scaled surface are manually sculpted in relief, with a maximum thickness of 3 mm. These relief areas are then coated with LINE-X, followed by complete artistic development through airbrush painting. The result is a surface where glossy fractures read as exposed lines of internal tension, framed by dimensional plates of dark armor. This is not merely an imitation of material — it is a direct intervention into the physical surface of the vehicle. The relief is created selectively and adapted to the geometry of the specific vehicle. Larger plates are placed across stable central panels, then gradually taper away near wheel arches, panel gaps, edges, and moving elements. This preserves both the visual strength of the design and the technical integrity of the coating. **Base scope:** both sides, hood, and tonneau cover. **Estimated starting price:** from **1,500,000 RUB.** For collector-level execution involving an expanded volume of hand-sculpted relief, additional painted components, or complex body preparation, pricing is calculated individually. --- ## Terms of Realisation Each project is individually adapted to the specific vehicle. The development takes into account the model, trim configuration, bed length, panel geometry, placement of handles, wheel arches, panel gaps, and paint areas. Before work begins, an original composition and technical layout are developed for the distribution of scales, relief elements, and glossy fracture lines across the body. For the relief edition, materials, sculpting technology, LINE-X application, and final finishing processes are coordinated separately. **Original design development and technical layout** are calculated separately, starting from **200,000 RUB**. Surface preparation, removal of body components, local bodywork, LINE-X application, and all related technical processes are assessed after inspection of the vehicle and set out in a separate estimate.

SURFACE CODE

A collection of automotive texture concepts in which the artwork functions not as a separate image, but as the character of the surface itself. Each concept is built around its own material language: layered stone and technical linework, charred wood with an inner glow, gilded crocodile-skin texture, a directional feather rhythm, topographic layers, and relief-like structures. The central idea of the series is to turn the vehicle body into a carrier of complex, tactilely legible surfaces. The designs can be realized in two ways. **The painted version** creates volume through airbrushing, light, shadow, and tonal transitions. **The relief version** involves physical work with the surface: the texture becomes tangible, and the design changes with the angle of light and the movement of the vehicle.
